We are a family-owned business and aim to have a peaceful, restorative environment for our guests. We have zero tolerance for any unlawful behavior, hate speech, bullying or behavior that causes discomfort to other guests or to our staff. Any guest who engages in this behavior may be asked to leave the property and forfeit any paid part of their stay.
We do support cultural activities and do have events on the property that support artists, trailblazers and are culturally relevant to the island and community. We do not allow any unapproved events, impromptu gatherings (more than +2 non-guests) or marketing promotions on any part of our property with our written advance approval from the owners. Any guest who engages in this behavior may be asked to leave the property and forfeit any paid part of their stay. To ensure the enjoyment of the space for all guests of the hotel, we limit any guest to invite up +2 people to the property between the hours of 10am - 8pm without prior consent. If you would like to invite additional guests please send an email to obtain prior consent to email@example.com
We adhere to a very strict cancellation period due to the highly seasonal nature of our business and high demand in certain period. During the peak season our properties have waiting list of people that want to stay with us. As such, we request 50% deposit at booking of rooms and during August peak times we require 100% deposit. We have a minimum stay of two days; and certain holiday weekends and high-demand periods the minimum can increase to 4 days. Please ensure you aware and adhere to the proper cancellation policy.
Inkwell Haven Hospitality Group is a family-owned business and cancellations have a considerable economic impact. Every summer, we have a waiting list of people to stay with us therefore we adhere strictly to our cancellation policy. All reservations cancelled or changes made to dates must be in writing 30 days prior to arrival date will be refunded the deposit less a re-booking service fee of $50. Notice of cancellation received less than 30 days will forfeit Guests their entire deposit. Shall guests shorten or amend the planned stay, guests will still be accountable for the nights originally booked. Narragansett House, Inkwell Beach House and Dunmere Cottage realize that cancellations are oftentimes beyond personal control. For this reason, we recommend considering purchasing a travel insurance of choice.
Healthy & Safety
Current health and safety standards do not require guests to wear masks at all times when inside the hotel. We do encourage everyone to practice social distancing. We do require proof of Covid-19 recent vaccination / boosters to be submitted in the case of a medical exemption we ask for a negative Covid-19 test taken within 48 hours prior to arrival. Documentation must be presented or sent prior or at the day of arrival.
Car Ferry & Advance Reservations
Car reservations in the summer are very restricted. You will not be allowed on the ferry with a car without a reservation. Every summer we have guests who are surprised and it is normally quite disruptive to your travel plans when it is realized there is no other form of transport to the island.
If you are spending a weekend with us - we do not recommend bringing a car for a weekend visit or a few days on island. It is an incredibly walking friendly town and parking is limited (we are a small island!) Note: If you are bringing a car, please make car ferry reservations early through Steamship Authority. There is no bridge and there is no "day-of" tickets available for your car. You must park your car in the Steamship Authority in Falmouth parking lots and come over as a passenger only if you show up with a car AND without a reservation. Many times car reservations are made 6 months in advance. Do NOT expect to get over with your car if you do not have a reservation. There is no parking at the ferry terminal. If you show up with a car and without a reservation, you will likely be denied entry by the steamship authority. Again, there is no bridge to the island. The boat ferry is the only mode of transport if you are driving. In the summer, most people make reservations for their car months in advance.
